Hongwu Yan is a dedicated pianist and music director with a strong background in classical piano performance and sacred music. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of North Texas, studying under Dr. Pamela Mia Paul, and also trained at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music under Professors Sha He and Su Meng. Recognized for his talent, he placed third in both the Dallas Symphony Festival Senior Sonata and the Baylor/Waco Piano Competition. Currently serving as the Music Director at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, he leads the church’s liturgical music program, conducts choir rehearsals, and arranges sacred music for worship. With expertise in classical piano, choir conducting, and music education, he is committed to enriching both liturgical and performance settings through his musical artistry.
