Born in China, Jingwen Zhang owned her bachelor’s degree and master degree from Manhattan school of music and her performed major concerts in both Asia and America. She studied with great pianists of Manhattan school of music such as Solomon Mikowsky, Phillip Kawin and Daniel Epstein. Beyond that, jingwen also received the personal guidance from an amazing pianist Chu- fang Huang. Before she moved to New York, he studied at the Shenyang conservatory of music with Dongdun Zhang. Recently, she performed her graduate recital at miller hall brought a standing ovation playing repertoire ranging from Bach to Tania Leon.           

 

During her period, Jingwen has won numerous piano awards at competition and music festival, from china to usa, which includes the Chang Jiang Pei Piano Competition Shenyang region first prize; Steinway piano competition Shenyang region 2nd prize; St. Andrew festival piano competition the second prize; New York international piano festival, first prize for 3 groups and second prize for one group... etc. In 2019, she won the New York golden classical music awards international competition first prize and performed as the winner in Carnegie Weill hall. Jingwen is also a chamber musician. During her bachelor and master years, she performed with her classmates and performed at Greenfield hall, Miller hall, Charles Myers recital hall and Pforzheimer hall. In 2018, she guided by Pascual martinez Forteza who is acting associate principal clarinet in New York philharmonic and was highly appreciated. 

 

Jingwen has masterclasses with many successful pianists and educators which includes: Bruce Brubaker and Vivian Hornik Weilerstein from New England conservatory; Ernest Barretta, Jerome lowenthal, Julia Martin and Matti raekallio at the Julliard school of music; Deborah Moriaty from Michigan state university.

 

Recently, Jingwen is planing to start her Doctoral degree with competitive scholarship and TSG achievement scholarship at University of North Texas and study with professor Adam Wodnicki.
